2023 Highlights
2023 HighlightsMy name is Mikaila Pitts, I am a 6'2'' right side, outside, and middle, and I recently completed my 16-1s club season with Olympus Volleyball Academy. This season was one that I will remember because it taught me the persistence and mental strength side of the sport; However, through the ups and downs of the season, one thing that remained in my mind was the end goal: Collegiate Volleyball. Ever since I learned what exactly college volleyball entailed, I've been interested in the lifestyle that was focusing on my education while having fun playing the sport I love. My collegiate goal as of right now is to pursue a political science degree while playing volleyball, and an ultimate end goal being a law degree. What makes me unique is I'm a versatile player that can pass, I have good court awareness to make plays happen from every position, and I am a team player with an everlasting love for the sport.
For school volleyball, I play at Leroy Greene Academy in Natomas,CA. I have earned MVP of the Northern Pacific Conference playing Varsity as a freshman and sophomore, and helped guide my team to playoffs in 2024. In this upcoming junior season, I hope to do the same and have fun with my teammates.
Outside of volleyball I love to go on trips to new places, do photography, and express myself through art of any kind. I also enjoy school and started enrolling in AP course my sophomore year. I am excited to have dual enrollment at American River Junior College this year as a high school junior.
Previous club experience: I played Middle Hitter for Auburn Aces for two years during Middle school, finishing 4th in GOLD Division on 12U in the Northern California Volleyball Association, and 3rd in GOLD Division in the West Coast Volleyball Association on the 14U Black team in Premier League. Our team attended the WCVBA Presidents Day Showdown POWER league tournament in Redwood City and also finished in GOLD Division, placing 5th out of 76 teams. We attended the NCVA POWER league Spring Classic at The Grounds in Roseville, and finished 5th out of 58 teams. We also played in the Far Western National Qualifier in Reno, and finished in Bronze Division, at seed 47 out of 136 teams.
The last two club seasons as a freshman and sophomore, I played in NCVA Power League with Olympus Volleyball Academy's 15-1 and 16-1 Power Teams. We finished in Aqua Division.
