Hi! My name is Jacqueline Cousineau (people call me Jac). I am a Setter/DS. I currently attend Presentation High School in Willow Glen, CA. I love a good challenge academically. I am currently enrolled in three honors classes and one AP. In addition to my school curriculum, I am involved in four clubs on campus. I am an officer for our Panthers Exploring Medicine program which allows our students to take field trips to places such as Stanford Hospital. Academically, I hope to finish out my 2nd semester Junior year with a 4.0 or 4.1.
I started playing volleyball in 5th grade and am coming up on my 6th year of club volleyball. This past school season my varsity team came back from a rough record in League to win our CCS and State division, playing my part as DS. I am a very competitive player and an energetic person on and off the court. Over summer I also help run my school's camp program. This club season, as for the past two seasons, I will be playing for Vision Volleyball Club on the 17-1's team for Ron Whitmill and Cassidy Lichtman as Setter/DS.
In addition to volleyball, I also take part in a program called NCL (National Charity League). This program allows students from 7th to 12th grade actively take part in the community. We work at local homeless shelters, after-school programs for financially struggling families, and our local Sacred Heart. Prior to volleyball, I did dance for 10 years and soccer for several years. I learned classical ballet, tap, and modern dance. All of which have proven useful in my ability to learn concepts faster.
I am different from other recruits because I am a competitive person who likes to be challenged with a concentrated passion for this sport. My personal goal for volleyball is to reach a D2 or D3 school. Thank you for taking a look at my profile. I hope you follow me on NCSA. Stay tuned!!
