Alexa Vandenburg '16 Recruiting Profile

I would like to continue my athletic career in volleyball while in college because I like to compete and be part of a team, working together to achieve success. I would like to play for a program where I can contribute to the success of my team and pursue my academic goals in the science field. I am dedicated, friendly, and competitive which are all qualities needed for a strong volleyball player. I will be committed to help achieve success for my team, the school, and myself personally. I have played for a successful high school varsity team since freshman year and I know what it takes and the level of commitment needed to win. We have won a CIF title as well as many tournament championships during my time in high school. I am not only dedicated on the court, but in my academics as well. Coming from a highly academic school like St. Margaret's, I am fully prepared to take on the challenges of being a student athlete in college. My school has helped shape me to be an independent student and prepared me for success in college and in life.
