Morgan Yoder '23 Recruiting Profile

"A lot of person in a little body." has been the phrase used to describe me more times than I can count. The nicknames "Roid Rage" and "Energizer Bunny" have also been earned as a result of my big personality and speed. I seem to have a never-ending supply of energy, loud vocality along with some unproportional hops and power for my size; I promise though, no roids here; nobody told me I was small, and now it's a little late for that. I have a verticle jump of over 30 inches, with a touch of 9"9 and an arm that you'd never know was from someone of my size. I am incredibly fast and hustle with no fear of gravity, unfortunate for the floor. I don't like a quiet court, and communication and being loud is a huge part of who I am. I'm also the person who will be on the sideline screaming for a teammate's success with all-out cheers and there hyping them up for the next play after a mistake, or after my own; ready for the next chance I get to touch a ball. My life has been filled with challenges, challenges most people go their entire lives without them ever crossing their minds, let alone actually occurring. The joke is that Murphy's law has become "Morgan's Law" in that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. So much so that "grit", "determined", and "resilient" do not begin to describe me. So, the word "Stubborn" is used; because no one really knows what to call it. Too stubborn to give up, too stubborn to listen to someone deter me, and too stubborn to stop working to be better than I was the day before; as a person, student, and athlete. When I'm told that I would never be capable of something, I stay silent, work hard, and let my actions speak louder than any words I could ever say to prove them wrong. I love the game; it's somehow healing for my soul, and I want to continue to challenge my capabilities.
