Alex Campos '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Alexandria Campos, better known as "Alex". THANK YOU for taking the time to look at my profile! I am a 5'6, 130 pound setter/ds  from Upland High School which is a 1A school in California. I am team captain and will be playing my 3rd year on Varsity and 7th year of club volleyball. I am working tirelessly to turn my goals of playing volleyball at the collegiate level into my realty. My drive and competitive nature has pushed me to be the fierce player that my high school coach defines me as. I am not the obvious 6'4 stand out of the team although I have been instrumental in the success of many of those players and I pride myself in that!!! A key aspect to my setting is preparation. I strive to be the most prepared athlete on the court so that I can apply strategic game play, multiple play variations, and leadership. I have been team captain on 7 different teams which has taught me that the best way to lead, is by example. I am consistently one of the top servers and passers on my high school team, league, and club team. I have been asked many times what position I prefer. I take pride in my versatility and how it has often been used to help my team to overcome obstacles and achieve success. I am efficient, consistent and enthusiastic about all of the positions I have experienced because helping my team succeed is what drives me! I would love to contribute to the winning tradition of the college that I play for however I would also be very interested in helping to rebuild a program to it's maximum potential with my leadership skills that continue to grow.
