Evelyn Zamora-Vargas '16 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to be an ideal student athlete, managing academic rigor as well as accomplishing athletic feats, I am determined to make it somewhere big in this world. I am as dedicated as I am competitive, and I strive for personal growth and humbly accept praise for my merit. I am a confident, reassured, versatile, Cuban American student athlete seeking to be given an opportunity to meet any professed standards. I consider myself to be strong physically and emotionally, set on achieving my purpose in this life. I enjoy indulging in philosophical conversations and I am interested in pursuing a major in Psychology. I welcome all sorts of challenges. I believe my education comes first and so for that reason I am committed to all of my AP, dual enrollment, and honors courses. I also participate as often as I can in the Drama program at my high school. I play five sports: soccer, softball, football, basketball, and volleyball. I might be "short" but I can jump and thankfully my love for sports has granted me the agility and the heart of a well rounded athlete. Despite my love for all sports, volleyball is by far my favorite and intend to continue practicing and competing until I get the exposure I need for a recruiter to be my advocate.
