Alina Carrillo '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball for nine years. Starting out I was not the best, and certainly did not have much athletic experience. I was tall for my age at the time, and that was the only thing that stood out about me. Gradually everyone else grew as well, and felt myself becoming short, but I did not let that intimidate me or stop from doing what I love.

I wanna be able to push myself past my limit, on and off the court and I feel that is what college is for because it is not just some walk in the park.  You can't just relax because you got a scholarship, you still have to work hard to get a job after college. I want the opportunity to pursue my goals of graduating and getting a degree as well as playing the sport I love and having a good time while working hard.
