My name is Sienna Ciudad-Real and I'm a Senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Florida. I am 17 years old, 6' tall, 150 lbs. and started playing volleyball at 9 at the local YMCA. Although I have almost always been the youngest player on my teams, I have worked hard to compete at the highest level. For this club season I am playing for the Boomers 18 Black travel team where I will play as both a setter and right side hitter. I like to run an up-tempo offense in either a 5-1 or 6-2 system. After the indoor season I like to transition to beach volleyball training and play in 18 open division tournaments in Florida. I am very interested in continuing my education and playing volleyball at the collegiate level.
In addition to training and playing volleyball, I've taken numerous high school honors courses in order to prepare for the challenges of college. I believe this will also help me learn how to balance the academic and athletic demands on my time. My goal is to be an asset to a team both on and off the court. I have a tremendous amount of determination and passion for the game. I’m competitive, driven and devoted to improving myself and my team. I always give 110% whether it’s on the court at tournaments or practice or in the classroom. I want to make a difference wherever I go and whatever I do.
