Lyla Pack – Personal Statement NCSA
My name is Lyla Pack. I am an accomplished student and dynamic volleyball player. I am a versatile player, excelling in multiple positions, including, pin, middle, and setter. I am adaptable, coachable, and have a strong mindset. This past school year as a 9th grader, I started on the varsity team as an Outside Hitter and during my club season with the 15-U Wildfire National Open Team One played as a Middle Hitter. I take a lot of pride in my personal play and performance which is why I always try to go above and beyond in practice and training. I strive be an exemplary teammate and strong team leader. My goal on any team is to not only work as hard as I can to contribute on a personal level but also to encourage, uplift, and support my fellow teammates to be the very best version of themselves! For I understand completely that in this game, it truly takes the entire team to win games!
But my passion extends beyond the court as academics is very important to me and I would like to pursue a degree in architecture and design. I have a creative mind and through design and architecture I am able to express my artistic side. When choosing a college, I am open to options. My main objective is to find a school that allows me to continue playing volleyball at a competitive level but also fits my academic needs.
I believe I have a good blend of athleticism, academic excellence and a zest for life that makes me a stand-out student athlete and invaluable asset to any volleyball team.
On a personal note, it is important for me to continue playing volleyball at the collegiate level because of the self-confidence and mental fortitude it brings to me. Off the court, I am very shy, quiet, and reserved. But ON the court, I feel like I come ALIVE and am UNSTOPPABLE!
