Personal Statement
If you are looking for someone who’s down to EARTH, grounded, has a lot of HEART for the love of volleyball, stop looking. My name is TERAH (now scramble the letters, start at the first sentence, see what I did there!). I am a 17 year old junior at Bishop McLaughlin High School in Spring Hill, Florida (Tampa Bay region). I have been associated with volleyball since birth (big sister), have been learning about the game and playing since I could pick up a ball, and I am excited to continue my journey at the next level.
My love and passion for the game has helped me through some great times and some tough seasons as well. At the end of the day, I still can’t get enough. I am a 6 foot right handed setter, and right side hitter. In addition to playing indoor, I have enjoyed competing in sand volleyball as well.
As I referenced earlier, not only has volleyball taught me how to excel at a sport but has also brought out several personal attributes. It has built my confidence significantly, brought out exceptional leadership skills both on and off the court, and I continue to focus on my skills through challenging and dedicated workouts, practice and playing time. My goal is to achieve a degree that will bring my love of the sport to others and finding them their future right fit.
I am currently playing on the OTVA U18 C Dexter, which is our top 18’s team in Tampa. I have started my process of selecting a college and I am confident that the I would be a great fit academically and athletically!
