My name is Emily Warner and I am a setter for the class of 2023. I have been playing volleyball since 6th grade and would love to play at the next level while I continue my education.
I am the setter for both Tavares High School and American Athletic Club 18 Elite. I have run both a 6-2 and a 5-1 for both programs. I am not naturally a vocal person and tend to be quiet off the court. However, I have learned as the setter that it is my job to control the court and have learned to be vocal leader because of it. I strive to recognize my teammates abilities and always try to find ways to build them up, encourage them to be successful, and set them up to succeed.
One of my strengths is my ability to make quick, strategic decisions. It is my job to our offense is successful. I have trained on and off the court to make strategic decisions that allow our offense to do just that. I also strive for consistency and accuracy in my setting.
I also use what I have learned on the court to be successful in the classroom. Academics are equally important to me as success on the court. While it has not always come easy for me, my strong work ethic and dedication has helped me maintain over a 3.5 GPA and continued academic success.
I am a hard-working, dedicated player that would love the opportunity to continue to grow both on the volleyball court and in the classroom. As an adaptable player and person, I look forward to any opportunity that I am given to achieve these goals.
