My name is Cydney Thomas. I am a student athlete that is very very interested in pursuing my career as a volleyball player. I may be fairly new to the game compared to my peers, but looking at my drive and love for this sport you would never know. I discovered volleyball by looking for conditioning opportunities the summer of my Junior year. As a longtime discus thrower, I wanted to keep in shape. Who would have known that I'd fall in love with volleyball, and be good at it. I have acclimated well to the sport and have moved up to team captain of my high school team. I've played travel volleyball with a local club and have gained great experience. I am open to opportunities that will enhance my athletic career but most importantly my academic plans for success. this is something that I am very passionate about and can't wait to show that to you all.
My ultimate goal is to become a family law attorney. I have a 3.9 GPA, a dual enrollment student at Columbus State University, and I am an intern and Johnson and Johnson law firm in LaGrange, Ga. Balance is the name of the game, and I've successfully learned to balance academics, sports, and community service over these four years of high school. My work ethic, commitment to learning everyday, even from mistakes sets me apart from others. My coaches and peers look to me as a leader as well as influencer of people. I'm great at rallying people together, managing priorities and keeping cool under pressure.
