I am Valentina Meyer. I am 16 years old and I live in Cumming, Georgia. Ever since I was little, I participated in numerous sports including, soccer, basketball, tennis, and I even have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I used to think that I played all of those sports because I was just an active little girl (which is partially true). Now, I know it is because I simply love being competitive in sports. I love the feeling of competition and being forced to lean on those around me.
I learned lessons from each sport including the value of teamwork and the importance of accountability. Since the very first moment that I played volleyball, I found a deep passion for the sport. Passion is the word that comes to mind when I think about all of the hours I put into volleyball. Passion is what enables me to never give up and push through tough games and hard moments. Passion is the word that comes to mind, when I think about all of the hard club coaches that I have had that pushed me to where I am now. I found my passion in volleyball. I want to play college volleyball so I can compete at a high level and be surrounded by people that have passion for the sport of volleyball just like me.
