Hi Coach!
First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I know there are a lot of great athletes out there and am honored to have you think enough of me to find me here on NCSA.
If you saw me playing at a tournament during club season or my high school season, I hope you can see on my face how much I enjoy playing volleyball and competing. My teammates mean the world to me and we try to not only work very hard when training and push to make each other better, but also have fun while we are doing it! I have been playing volleyball since age 9 in our town rec league, and eventually moved into club ball after my second year playing rec ball. That is when my real passion blossomed for volleyball. It is a integral part of my life now and I hope to continue playing, and maybe someday get into coaching. I would love to spread my love for the game to the younger girls coming up in the system.
Other than volleyball, I do make time for extracurricular activities. I am currently in my school choir and have done some solos in my church during school mass. I was thrilled to receive the 'High Note' award for choir last spring. I also have been involved in the National Charity League since the beginning of 7th grade. It allows me to donate my time to various local shelters (including animal shelters) and food kitchens like 'Meals by Grace'. Next November, I will be able to combine my love for volleyball and my love to serve- A5 (my club team) has invited 15 girls to travel to Botswana, Africa to train with the Botswana National Team as well as go the local elementary schools and teach the children about volleyball. This opportunity would never have been available to me without volleyball.
I may not be a 6'2" setter, but I am athletic, fast on my feet, pretty good on defense so can play back row if necessary and am fiercely competitive. I promise if you do like the way I play, I will be 100% dedicated to my team and teammates, and will strive to make myself and those around me better.
Thanks again for taking the time to find me here and please reach out if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Ashlynn
