I was 10 years old when a friend introduced me to club volleyball. Ever since I passed my first volleyball, I have been in love with the sport. I look back on the days where I worked so hard just to get my serve over the net, and then I see where I am now and how far I have come. Even though I have many medals and achievements, one of the things that made me work harder and harder each time I got in the gym was when my team did not qualify for nationals in 2023, losing the championship match at the Sunshine Qualifier. I was so disappointed, but it spurred me to work harder and helped shape me into the player I am today. I continue to work harder than ever, improving through skill and strength training. I plan to work even harder as the days go on. Every loss I face fuels my desire to do better, and I am gaining more experience each time I touch a volleyball. I have played four years of club volleyball, and three years of middle school feeder volleyball. I was team captain and the six rotation outside last year for my feeder team. I enjoyed showing leadership to my teammates and helping us stick together through both our wins and our losses. Academically, I was moved to multiple honors classes in the middle of my eighth-grade year and have continued to excel in each of my subjects. I would like to take honors and ap classes in high school. I participate in community services every so often and I enjoy helping others. I am the kind of person who never gives up, and I try my best every time I do something. I believe I would be a wonderful candidate for any college team because I will provide leadership and kindness to my teammates while showing respect and commitment to my coaches.
