Volleyball has consistently been something other than just a game, yet the enthusiasm keeps me driven in all that I do. I believe that volleyball has shown me a wide range of characteristics in life, from the difficulties to the anticipation and satisfaction experienced on the court. My mentors have consistently trained me to lay out ambitions I have so I can better myself and discover achievement. At each practice, I aim in getting better at strategizing, expecting the ball sooner, and keeping up the duty of being a captain on the court. I generally keep my degree of playing high and backing up teammates when at their lowest. The saying "You have to be willing to fail in order to improve" is an expression that speaks volumes to me. Showing your commitment to practice and willingness to try new approaches to situations is what it begins with. If I were to ever hit a wall or obstacle, I was taught to take a step back and search for strategies I can use to get over that wall or overcome that obstacle. One of the principle obligations I'm liable for is to keep up the degree of high play in my team. I continue to push myself and my teammates every day so we become better players and individuals on and off the field of play.
