Hailey Liss '27 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to be on a college volleyball team and playing a higher level than just high school volleyball. I am very passionate about volleyball and I have loved volleyball ever since my aunt inspired me to play. She gave me the biggest inspiration and from then on I have been playing volleyball since 3rd grade. I didn’t grow up in the biggest school sadly but I made it happen as best as I could. Our team was so small we had grades 3-8th in order to make a full team, even though it was small, the memories of me trying my hardest to get better still stick with me. I look back and I say to myself “ The little girl back in 3rd grade never got playtime but she still stuck to the sport and gave it her all and you can’t waste those years working for nothing!”  You can’t give up on your little self.

I am a cheerleader on the court and off the court. In my opinion I am the girl on my team who shakes it off after a mistake and keeps playing, keeps others as hyped as I can even though they don’t like it when I try to hype them up, I am always talking to my teammates constantly about what is open on the opposing teams court, and I talk to them about what is happening at every moment. I work extremely hard during the off season. I listen to my coaches on what I can improve on and I take that seriously. I always have a smile on my face all the time.
