Patricia Kirby '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since fifth grade, but have been around volleyball my whole life as my mom and grandma coach. I have always loved volleyball and sports wise it has been my greatest priority and passion. My summers have been filled with off season training all throughout highschool. In the fall of 2022 I decided to play club volleyball in Montana for Montana Volleyball Academy. This is one of the best decisions I have ever made. In the short eight week season I grew so much as a player skill wise and also in my ability to play with new teammates and under a new coach. I pushed myself to be better and only improved. I have taken dual credit classes throughout highschool and intend to take 10 credits through College of Eastern Idaho in my second semester of senior year.

For some, sports are something they do in high school, but I cannot imagine my life without volleyball. The sense of team and community found on the court is like no other. Having others that push you and you can push toward a common goal is another thing I love about volleyball. I work hard on the court, in practice, in the weight room, and in the community. While I am a quiet person, I am highly competitive. I have learned to not only be focused on winning, but what you can learn from winning and losing. Alongside volleyball, I also love agriculture and welding and intend to study under that umbrella in college. 

I am ecstatic to continue my dream of playing collegiate volleyball, chasing new goals with a new team.
