Haley Ledbetter '18 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamed of playing volleyball in college. I love every part of the game, but my favorite part is the chance to always improve. You can always become better, and you never reach the top of the mountain. You can only keep going up. As my coach says, "Volleyball is a game of errors," so there is a skill you can always improve. My aspiration is to keep improving and to keep growing my love for the game in college. I am a team player, who loves to see everyone as happy as I am on the court. My team becomes my family once we all put on the same jersey, and we all get the same goal in mind: to make the team succeed. As a team captain, I strive to support and inspire each one of my teammates. I want to be someone who they admire on and off the court. The quote, "Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard" inspires me a ton! I am determined on the court, in school, and in life. I want to be the best me that I can be. I have a 4.0 gpa but believe I can still do better. I love learning new techniques, and I am very coach-able.  In college, I hope to continue my love for volleyball, and I hope to get a new family.
