Volleyball has had a huge impact on my life ever since I started it in 6th grade. The first time I stepped onto the court I knew I was going to fall in love with this sport. I have felt the same way ever since and it has always been a dream of mine to play in college.
Volleyball is a sport where I am excited to go to practice and work hard to get better. Being on the court whether it be a game or practice is such an amazing feeling. I love working with my teammates and coaches. I feel like I am a very coachable person with a determined attitude. I'm always striving to better myself on and off the court. By nature, I am a leader and this reflects in how I play.
Not only in volleyball I am trying to get better but also academically. I strive for perfection in my work and grades. School has always been very important to me and I want this to continue in college. I am constantly challenging myself academically to be the best possible version I can be.
I love trying new things, such as trying out for tennis, with barely any experience and still making varsity, to joining a new club. Whatever I am told in practice and games I am always willing to try. Being adaptable is very beneficial and it has allowed me to play positions such as setter, hitter, and DS.
All of these things combined make me into the player I am today and I hope I will be able to continue this in college.
