Playing volleyball is truly the best experience I've ever had in my life. I began to take an interest in volleyball when I was 12 years old and ever since I have been obsessed with playing, watching, and learning the game. Thanks to my incredible coaches, I was able to start on my JV team as a freshman and Varsity as a sophomore which not only gave me experience on the court but also knowledge. I have been taught so many lessons such as how to be a better teammate, taking accountability, and mental toughness. One trait I’ve noticed about myself through playing volleyball is that I always want myself and my teammates to succeed and I can accomplish that by being not only their biggest cheerleader but also my own. Something that sets me apart from other players is that I take feedback and apply it quickly when I’m on the court.
Outside of volleyball, I maintain a 4.22 weighted GPA and I’m a member of my school’s legacy club; a club that is centered around student-athletes and how we can be leaders in our athletic careers but also in our community. I’m looking for a school that not only is compatible volleyball-wise but also in terms of academics. Learning never ends and that is applicable to all areas of our lives!
