My name is Kiara Zamar and my love for volleyball began at a young age. Growing up in a family with many volleyball players and coaches, the expectations were always high for me and drove me to always strive for more. I would like the opportunity to play volleyball in college and continue to improve myself as a player. I believe that you can always be better than your last practice or last game. I love being part of a team and always look for opportunities to encourage my teammates in games or practices. I'm not afraid of hard work and always give 100% in anything I do.
I have always been competitive and grew up being a multi-sport club athlete, but volleyball is my passion. I have been playing volleyball for 7 years. I work very hard in both school and sports, so that is why I chose to attend Benet Academy, which is known for its high academic standard and has one of the best volleyball programs in Illinois. I also play for 1st Alliance Volleyball club, which is a top ranked club in the nation. I am looking forward to playing for a college that can push me both academically and athletically.
I like to be the type of player that coaches can depend on to make the right plays at the right time. Whether it is getting a perfect serve receive pass, getting an ace, or digging a hard hit, I am a player you can depend on to always make the right play and work hard!
