Michaela Almeida '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Michaela Almeida, and I am a Senior at Marengo Community High School. I am a three-sport athlete, participating in volleyball, basketball, and track while maintaining high grades in all of my classes. Volleyball is a huge passion of mine, and I am extremely dedicated to the sport. I have been playing for six years now, and I hope to continue playing at the collegiate level while earning a degree. When playing, I am always ready to grow emotionally and in performance. As an athlete, teammate, and friend, my goal is always to keep a positive attitude. Even if the team or I are having an off day, I try my hardest to stay positive and encouraging to uplift myself and those around me. Volleyball wouldn't be successful without communication, and it is imperative that any team I am on works together as one. I believe that one of my most admirable qualities is my ability to be coachable. I value every bit of information my coaches or teammates tell me, and I immediately try to improve. Furthermore, I am super friendly and outgoing, and I would be honored to be considered for a position on your team. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I am always open for anything.
