Hello to my future college coach. My name is JoAnna Nowicki. I am currently a student athlete at Morris Community High School.I have been a Varsity starter since my Freshman year. I was All-Conference & second team All-Area this past season. I am 5'10 and weigh 160 pounds. My dream is to be a collegiate volleyball player and further my education through sports. I started playing volleyball when I was 12 years old and has become a passion of mine ever since. I am a strong, hard-working athlete and will do anything to improve my game. I am a smart player, always trying to expand my shot selection at the net with strong focus on back row defense. My career path is to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I am currently in a Heath Occupation program at school that is giving me a head start on my future. Currently, I am working with nursing home residents. As challenging as it has been at times, it also comes with many rewards. I have proven to myself, as a result of this experience, that my future will be focused on helping people. I am part of a club called Heath Occupation Students of America. As a group, we do a lot of community service and participate in the We Care program. I'm also a member of the Student Leadership Program at my school. This organization teaches students how to be effective leaders in their communities which has helped me on the volleyball court as well. I am also a member of our Catholic Youth organization at church.
With all that being said, I am putting myself through school and hopeful that my continued hard work in the classroom and on the volleyball court will reap the benefits of a scholarship in college and the opportunity to play the sport I love four more years
