Skylar Fildew '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Skylar Fildew and I am a setter for the class of 2023. I have been playing volleyball for nine years. I currently play for Club 1 in Plainfield, Illinois, both indoor and beach. I also attend Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, Illinois.

I am exploring my college options and my goal is to become an accomplished student-athlete. I want to attend a college where I can push myself competitively on the court and in the classroom.

My coaches would describe me as being determined and one of the hardest working athletes on the court. I love the role of setter because I am a dynamic and energetic person. I thrive under pressure, am focused, and have a high volleyball IQ that allows me to make fast, efficient decisions that better the ball and elevate my team's play. Also, I read the competition well in order to run effective offensive systems. And, my communication and leadership skills create consistent momentum that helps carry my team forward.

Outside of volleyball I enjoy drawing, painting, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
