Ella Phelps '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ella Phelps, I am 15 years old and am the class of 2024.  I am 5’6” and I weigh 105 pounds.  My primary position is 6 rotation Pin but I can also compete as  Libero and Defensive Specialist.  I currently attend Providence Catholic Highschool in New Lenox, Illinois, a College Preparatory Institution. I started playing indoor volleyball and sand volleyball beginning at age ten and fell in love with the sport just as my mother did.  I’ve played for both my grade school , high school, as well as Club Volleyball since then.  I also play lacrosse and am trying Basketball.

I am interested in attending a College or University somewhere outside of Illinois.  A warmer climate will allow me the option to also play Sand Volleyball but I am game for anywhere as long as I can stay active and competitive.  For volleyball, the division I would love to play would be Division l or Division ll, in addition to NAIA. Volleyball is not the only important factor that I consider in choosing a school, I am also looking for a school that will support my choices of Majors which range between biology, acting and the culinary arts.  Besides volleyball, research in the sciences, food and the arts are my favorite.

I know that I would be an asset to any team that I play on because I am a hard worker and never stop improving.  I give my all even after I feel like I have no more to give.  I care about my teammates and coaches and am always encouraging them to do their best.  Please consider me as a future member of your team.
