I learned a lot this season, on and off the court. I missed playing in most of my club season due to needing gallbladder surgery. It was very difficult for me to stay at home after surgery and not be with my team. I had surgery on a Wednesday and begged my mom to let me go to practice on Thursday just to support my team (but she didn't let me). By not being able to play, I experienced volleyball from a different point of view. It was a great opportunity to be on the sideline with my coach. I have always thought of myself as a great teammate, but this season tested my ability to be the best teammate anyone has ever had. While still recovering I went to practice and tournaments even though I still could not play. I am looking forward to continuing to be a great teammate in the future at the collegiate level.
