Megan Maier '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Megan Maier. I currently play volleyball for Sports Performance and Oswego East High School. I have always been a big sports person. In 7th grade I had really realized my love for volleyball. By the fall of 7th grade I found myself playing club volleyball for Sports Performance Volleyball Club. I didn't know it at the time but volleyball had taken a hold of my life.  This sport has completely changed my life and has given me experiences and friendships that I will never forget. I would like to continue my volleyball career in college because of the impact it has had on my life. 

 On the court I strive to perform my best. I try my best to do my job and help my team be successful. I am a hard worker on the court and I do my best to support my teammates.  I am a coachable player and can easily be directed. I always seek improvement in everything I do and listen closely to what I need to do in order to be more successful next time. The game is what I live for and will always be a big part of my life. 

  As for academics, I have always been a very dedicated student. I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout my years of high school, and plan to keep it that way.  I have shown throughout my years of sports and school that I am able to maintain both aspects in my life. I would like to study to become a vet and play volleyball at the same time.
