Isabel Freese '24 Recruiting Profile

Since I have been a young girl I have strived to do my best in what I do. I am goal oriented and do not like obstacles to get in my way of any goal I have set for myself or my team. I have always set my mind to a goal and do everything in my power to reach it. I set mulitple goals for myself for the 22 season and surpassed them. Some of them included: Winning a sectional title, starting on varsity, being on the all conference team, and striving to get at least 15 digs per game. Along with these achievements I also was chosen to represent my team for the Elite North vs. South Volleyball Showcase Game, awarded the 2022 Post Tribune All Area Team, Led the state of Indiana Max Preps in digs for August until the end of September, and was 2nd in the Duneland Conference in Digs.  

The teams I have played for since I have been 10 years old often tell me I am a good teammate and they enjoy playing with me. I believe this comes from my high energy, positive attitude, and enthusiastic attitude while on and off the court. When I am playing volleyball I try to uplift any player around me. I know that if we can work together and are positive we only come out stronger in the end!  

I feel an asset to any team is that I am well rounded player.  On my travel National team in 2021 and 2022, I played every position except middle hitter to fill in for missing positions at varying tournaments. Not only did I fill in but we succeeded in theses tournaments. I knew I had to fill these positions so I told myself I was going to try my best to do the best I could do! 

I am a sprinter for our highschool track team and I also play beach volleyball every summer in the EVP Volleyball league. My partner and I have won multiple Gold Medals playing in these tournaments on the beach. We usually play in the open division or play in the older age bracket to get the most competition possible.
