I am most proud of my grit and determination. It's my goal to play on an upper level, competitive Division 1 college or University level team in either Canada or the United States. My ultimate goal is to work my way up to play for Team Canada nationally and one day, their Olympic team. In grade 8 I played in the BC Summer games, in Grade 9 I played in the BC Zones tournament and was named one of the province all-stars, and in Grade 10 just this past summer, I made Team BC and was a starter and I hope I was seen as an integral part of how we won the GOLD medal at the Canada Cup tournament. I have worked very hard on developing an aggressive spin serve and making sure I stay that 6-rotational player that is important to their team. I have mostly played LS but have also recently played some RS due to my blocking abilities. Being able to touch 10' 4" at this years High Performance Camp for U16 Team BC was one of my season highlights. I am an athletic person - previously playing basketball, soccer, dirt biking, track and field etc. I have been named captain or co-captain for every school or club volleyball team I have been a part of since I started playing volleyball in elementary school. This may be because not only do I train hard on and off the court almost year round, I pride myself in being my teammates biggest cheerleader. I know the dynamic player I am and want to continue to be and I think I would be a great asset to a like-minded, hard working team of girls.
