Tess Brent '26 Recruiting Profile

At my high school athletic banquet in June, I received the award of Grade 11 Female ATHLETE OF THE YEAR!  

My name is Tess Brent, Class of 2026 from Port Moody, British Columbia. I was born in the United States (Ohio) and currently live in Canada. I am a dual citizen. 

(SEASON STATS UPDATED 6/16/25 including Nationals) This season, I was a starter for the Ducks 17U-1 (Ben) Club Team as an Outside Hitter.  We were the British Columbia Division 1 Bronze Medalists this year.  We also finished 13th at Nationals.  I led my team in serving this season with 91% accuracy and 89 aces.  I also was the most efficient Outside Hitter with 329 kills on the season and a 39.5% kill rate (averaging 3.32 kills per set).  I'm often underestimated as an Outside Hitter due to my size.  But my vertical jump, strength, and athleticism allow me to battle at the top level.  I'm known for my smart and powerful attacks, my vertical, my back row defensive skills, and my compete level.  I've had lots of success the past couple of seasons as an Outside Hitter and I also have experience at the Libero position.  I am looking forward to going to a University because I would love to be a part of an amazing volleyball program and graduate with a Business degree.
