You can ask my peers, my teachers, my parents, or teammates and they would all say the same thing. I am driven. Whether I am in school or on the court, nothing but myself can stand in my way for success. Academically I have always stood out, effortless straight A's, top of my class and going the extra mile for every assignment. The same mentality appears when I am on the court too. I will religiously watch game film, analyzing where the blocks are not covered, searching for ideal zones to serve, and how I can approve and prepare for the next game. On my last team, my coaches said I was the heart of the team. I was in sync to everyone's emotions and helped build them up towards success. I am known for commanding the court, my voice echoing every play and sneaky tip. Multiple parents from opposing teams would approach me, congratulating me on my performance, and compliment my leadership skills on the court.
Going into college I hope to bring this same passion as I pursue a path in STEM, preferably in space science or architecture. I want to be part of a college program that is building the future of science, and breaking the barriers of what is known. Coming from a military family, moving and change is a constant promise--I have learned to be open-minded and flexible. However, the idea of living somewhere for a definite four years is exciting and a welcome change!
