My name is Eda Nil, and I am a 6'3" left-handed setter from Turkey. After four years of playing for VakifBank’s youth teams and competing in the Turkish Junior Volleyball Super League—the highest-level youth league in the country—I’ve decided to continue my academic and athletic journey in the U.S. I’ll be joining IMG Academy soon for my junior year, a step perfectly aligned with my goal of playing collegiate volleyball.
Volleyball has been part of my life since I was 7. Over the years, I’ve developed into a setter known for precision, fast decision-making, and leadership under pressure. Being left-handed gives me an extra edge on the court, allowing me to be both a tactical playmaker and a scoring threat. I also contribute with strong serving and effective blocking.
I’ve been honored to be selected two years in a row for the U16 Turkish National Team program, a recognition given to the top five setters in my age group. This reflects not only my dedication to the game but also my mental focus, volleyball IQ, and drive to constantly improve. I’m a team-first player who stays calm and positive in tough moments, supporting my teammates and helping to build a cohesive, winning atmosphere. Off the court, I’m committed to giving back—volunteering at animal shelters and visiting the elderly has shaped my values of compassion and community.
Now, I feel I’m ready to bring my skills, passion, and work ethic to a college volleyball program that shares my commitment to growth, excellence, and teamwork.
