Esma Sipahi '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Esma and I am going to be a 2021 graduate from TED Istanbul College in Istanbul, Turkey. I have been playing volleyball for almost six years as a setter both in high school and well-known club teams. (2015-2018 Fenerbahce Sports Club) (currently in Vakifbank Sports Club). Also I had the honor to play in National team of Turkey. 

I want to continue my academic and athlete carreer in US because I believe US is the best place which gives the opportunity to be successful in both. Currently, I run my academic and athlete carrer in a balance. I strongly believe that if you are self-disciplined, determined and hard worker you can be a good college athlete and a student at the same time. I have my self motivation from my success. I learn from my mistakes and work hard to improve them. I have participated in national team, club team and school team as a team captain. I have leadership skill to take more responsibilities within the team and society. I have always been competitive in the court and at school. My philosophy is never give up till the last minute and believe in yourself.

 I know that being a college athlete requires passion, hard work and discipline at school and in court. So I train and work hard everyday. I am confident that not only my volleyball skills but also my  GPA and SAT will meet the requirements. I would like to apply the school where I will get the best education, be a part of great team, competition and the spirit !!
