The amazing life of sports started for me at the age of seven in a volleyball clinic and school. I never thought I would love sports so much yet the idea of it filled me with joy. Sports have taught me about teamwork, respect and most important to dream big and reach as high as you can. Many obstacles have been thrown at me but I see them as opportunities to grow and learn. Having been in the varsity team at the time I was a freshman was an eye opener for me because it made me push myself to stand out. The main obstacle that made me a better player in an emotional and physical sense was overcoming an injury. You get to see the game from the outside, having a new perspective about each play.
My goals for the future are ending in the Olympics representing my country, but before that, getting the best education I can in a great college. I believe I am an independent, competitive and focused leader. Volleyball and other sports have been very important in my development as a person.
