My name is Cassandra Copertino and I'm a junior at Gray New Gloucester high school. My collegiate goals are to become an interpreter to help deaf people to buy houses. I want to play volleyball in college as well to stay motivated in school and energetic. Going on with volleyball, I would consider myself a good candidate for their team because I am very dedicated and outgoing. I am very passionate about this sport, I also learn very quickly and open to suggestions for when learning new techniques. I have hosted volleyball practices for girls that were new to the sport so they get hands-on one on one practice with someone they can be comfortable around. I always have my mind in the game when I enter the gym and I don't let anything else interrupt how I play. I do well in school and take advantage of classes I can take, including IB and other college classes that give me college credits. I really enjoy American Sign Language. I TA for two classes while also taking ASL three. Adding to that I also am taking an ASL 1 at UMA to get an early start on my Interpreters license. I was currently made captain of our travel team and very excited to see where are team goes this season.
