I feel as though I embody the characteristics of a true student athlete. In addition to practicing three times a week (a 45 minute commute), I study for three hours each day after school. I am very fortunate to have parents that were scholar student-athletes at Johns Hopkins University, both of whom give me tips on managing a rigorous academic and athletic schedule. In addition to volleyball, I’m currently first baseman of my high school Varsity Softball team. Fun fact: I also play guitar! My favorite class is Spanish 4 Honors, and I enjoy reading in my spare time.
I feel like I would be a great asset to your volleyball program academically and as an athlete. I will be participating in the National Student Leadership Conference at American University July 7-15 with a focus on Political Science and Public Policy. And next year, I will be taking 3 AP classes: Spanish, Computer Science and Psychology. I wish to major in Political Science/Public Policy.
