Hi, my name is Grace Kelly, and I am currently a junior at Long Reach High School. I began playing volleyball in eighth grade for Maryland Juniors Volleyball Club on the 14 Open team as a Libero/DS. I played for Maryland Elite Volleyball Academy on the top 15's team for the club before playing on the 17 Elite Yellow team for Maryland Juniors Volleyball Club my sophomore year. This year, I play for the 17 Elite Black team for Maryland Juniors Volleyball Club, the top team in the age bracket as a Libero/DS.
Regarding high school, I am currently the starting setter for the varsity volleyball team after making the varsity team my sophomore year. I hope to lead my high school team to success my senior year through my high court awareness and teamwork.
As an athlete, I am very dedicated and strive to improve my game every practice. I am also very encouraging, and support my teammates on and off the court. These skills paired with my perseverant and hardworking mindset have allowed me to be successful throughout my volleyball career.
In the future, I hope to attend a four year university and major in Chemical Engineering. My enrollment in the AP Chemistry course and involvement in the Project Lead The Way engineering career academy catalyzed my love for innovation and problem solving, encouraging me to pursue a career in the sciences.
I hope this profile will prove me to be an essential member of your team in 2018. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your consideration.
