Personal Statement
I have been incredibly dedicated the past three years of my life to be the best student athlete I could be. Being surrounded by a competitive and experienced environment of peers has only increased my drive and love for volleyball. Every practice, camp, workout, and training session I have, I push myself to my limits, working to be the best player and teammate I can be. I have not been playing for a long time (three years), but I take the accountability and initiative to get in as much practice time as I can get to reach the level I aspire to play at. I hope to continue playing volleyball throughout my whole life; the next step would be playing in college, which is one of my greatest ambitions.
I take in every piece of advice my coaches give me, and love feedback. I have a strong presence on the court and enjoy playing with and leading my teammates. I was a team captain for my high-school team sophomore year, then got moved up to varsity for state playoffs. The next year (my junior year), I shared the starting position as a libero and my team made it to 4A state finals, which is a record for my school. Our winning record was 15-4 that year. I am also a team captain and libero of my club team this year.
I am considering majoring in biology or psychology, and am looking at schools more towards the east coast but am open to anything. I am extremely flexible in this search process, and am super excited to see where this journey takes me!
