Malayna Mitchell '24 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball is something I am passionate about and get excitement from when I am on the court. I take my role as a team captain very seriously. This sport brings me joy not only from being able to play but also in competing as a team. I want to continue playing volleyball in college to get better while contributing to a team as well as having fun doing so. In college I want to study Business Marketing and Entrepreneurship with the end goal of owning my own business. 

Throughout high school I have been involved in many clubs and organizations. To name a few National Honor Society (NHS), Rho Kappa (history honor society), President of Best Buddies (mentorship program), Baltimore Ravens Leadership Program (partnered with T.Rowe Price) and many more. Going to a school and being a student there is one thing but being a student athlete involving yourself in that community is just so important, which is why I love to help others in school as much as possible and be an active member in my community while being the best athlete possible. 

When given the opportunity to play volleyball at the collegiate level I will represent myself, the team, and the community with the highest standards.
