Chanel Lucas '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Chanel Lucas. I am 16 years old and a Junior at Thomas S. Wootton High School. I am a starting Outside/Opposite on my High School Varsity Volleyball team and I also run track for my high school. I am playing for Maryland Juniors 17 Elite Black this 2016/2017 club season. Sports have always played a key role in my life as I competed at a high level of gymnastics prior to transitioning to volleyball my freshman year of high school. Although I do not have an enormous amount of experience in volleyball, my background in sports has taught me the importance of being a leader, having a good attitude, and a good relationship with my parents, coaches, and teammates on and off the court. Academics are also very important to me but I am currently undecided in terms of what I want to major in. However, I am most interested in Business/Marketing, Economics, Government, English, and anything related to working with children! Thank you.
