Aubrey Bates '20 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball has been a part of my life for a very long time.  I started playing with my mom and her team as she has coached for as long as I can remember.  I was able to jump in and play with older girls and found a love for the game of volleyball and the athletes that play volleyball.  I love competition, everything from the butterflies in my stomach before the game to the intense last point of the game.  As a setter I am continuing to grow and learn the game, the difference in my hitters and how to work with all different types of personalities and talent.  As a player I am always looking to improve my game and play at a higher level, I strive to improve each practice and in each game.  I also understand the importance of putting extra work in to get better on my own.  I love the team atmosphere and enjoy the relationships that are built on and off the court.  I am extremely competitive in any type of competition and feel that I could help a college program with my work ethic, team play and desire to improve and win.
