Mattea Ball '25 Recruiting Profile

Tiny but mighty, that's me, Mattea Ball. I'd say that is how I am most often referenced by teammates and competitors alike. With two athletic older brothers, I learned quickly to be tough mentally and physically and to never back down from a competitive challenge. I was previously a competitive gymnast and basketball player, before falling in love with volleyball. I have played libero and DS on my travel and high school volleyball teams for the last two years. It wasn't until my sophmore year that I really settled into the libero position, but I thrive there now. Beginning this year, I will be playing volleyball year round to pursue greater knowledge and skill set as I am constantly striving to improve.
