I want to play college volleyball. It has been a goal of mine since I began playing in 5th grade. My brother played college football, I was there when they won a conference championship and got to watch him celebrate with his teammates. I know that moment of joy was due to years of hard work and determination. But it’s more than that. It’s the relationships you build and contributing to a winning culture that puts a program over the top. My high school coach always say’s “add to the process.” That is what I try to do every day: whether at practice, in the weight room, in the classroom where I have a 3.98 GPA, or even at social gatherings. I just finished my Junior year of High School volleyball. Being chosen as captain from my coach and teammates was a very proud moment for me. But, winning our 16th District Championship in a row was for sure the highlight of the season.
