I have always been the type of person to push myself to be the best I can possibly be. Whether studying in the classroom or developing as a player on the court, I have a drive that allows me to push myself, accomplish my goals, and encourage my teammates to do the same. For example, in my 2018-2019 club season, I was not the serving middle blocker when my volleyball season started. With hard work I had earned that spot by the middle of the season. Now this year, in the 2019-2020 season, I am the serving middle blocker and lead my club team in aces. In the sixth grade, I fell in love with volleyball and never looked back. Volleyball has brought me life long friends, memories, and competition on the court, and I want to continue my journey as an athlete at the collegiate level. I am honest, responsible, kind, and organized, and can be trusted to get the job done. No matter how big or small the goal, I will give 110% to make sure I reach it.
Education has always been my first priority, and I've developed the desire to learn from others, whether that be a teacher, coach, or peer. I have been a hardworking and devoted student since I was young, and have maintained a 4.2 GPA at Grosse Pointe South High School, which has over 1,600 students and is ranked among the top high schools in Michigan. As a student, I wish to commit to a college that challenges me academically and pushes me to become a better scholar. Fields of study that interest me are science, mathematics, art, and design. I have a passion for the arts and love to express myself through drawing, painting, sewing, music, and graphic design, and hope to incorporate the arts into my college experience.
Being a well-rounded student-athlete has allowed me to discover my passions and develop skills of organization, leadership, and time-management, which are essential in the college setting. My love for volleyball and the passion I have to improve makes me an outstanding candidate for any team.
