Personal Statement
My collegiate goals and aspirations are to receive a scholarship to play volleyball in college and get a Bachelor's in Business and open my own business. I would like to own a pet-friendly retail business that allows customers and employees to bring their pets to work/shop with them. I would later like to expand my brand to include a dog park with food trucks and entertainment.
I would be a good candidate for any team because of my drive, work ethic, and athletic experience. I have been playing team sports since I was 5 years old. I have played on teams at every competitive level and have found that I thrive in a competitive environment. I have had a lot of experience with multiple coaching styles and have played with teammates of varied skills and personalities. I know that my athletic skills would be a benefit to any program and my personality and team mentality would be able to adapt to any team dynamic.
One thing that sets me apart from other recruits is that I play four varsity sports: volleyball, basketball, track, and softball. There are many advantages to being a four-sport athlete. I am able to adapt to many situations and use my varied abilities to benefit every sport I play. I come from a family of educators, so I also know the importance of academics and maintaining a balance between my sports and my studies. I am able to manage my time and prioritize my activities as I have been in multiple sports since I was in elementary school.
I have never allowed my busy schedule to take away from my education, in fact, it is my sports that help keep me motivated in my academics. I use the same work ethic and determination in the classroom as I do on the court/field. I know that if I am not successful in my classes I will not be able to participate in my sports and support my teammates. I truly know that I have what it takes to be a successful student-athlete in college.
