Lucy Tarachas '24 Recruiting Profile

Being a well rounded player is a useful skill I bring to the court! I’m Lucy Tarachas, a 2024 DS/Lib from Petoskey Michigan. I’ve started on varsity my soph/junior year and started on JV my freshman year. As a freshman and sophomore I was an OH/DS, switching to Libero for my junior and senior year. I DS for my club, Northshore Volleyball Club, out of Traverse City, MI, playing mostly middle back, also spending some time in right back. I am a player who can get thrown into nearly any spot on the court and know what I’m doing. The biggest part of volleyball, to me, is mindset. If you have a fixed mindset you’re unable to move on from mistakes and in turn bring down the energy and momentum of your team. Having a growth mindset allows you to grow from your mistakes and keep the positivity up on your team.
