Holli Sharples '18 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'8'' outside/right side hitter from Pinckney, MI. I have been playing volleyball since sixth grade on local, regional, and national teams. I've participated in the AAU Nationals in Orlando Florida, East Coast Championships, and the Mid East National Qualifier. My approach jump is 8'4.0'' and block jump is 8'9.7''. I have the drive and motivation to be the best volleyball player I can be by listening to my coaches and putting in extra work. My coaches have told me that I’m very coachable and I always look forward to putting in extra practice time with them. I also make it a point to come to the gym early to get extra repetitions against the wall. My determination as an athlete is also carried over to my responsibilities as a student as I've maintained a 4.0 GPA since middle school, taking advanced placement math and science courses, scored a 1300 on the new SAT and 31 on the ACT.

In college, I plan to major in Pre-medicine so I’m looking forward to going to a college with a high medical school placement rate. I don’t have any preferences on whether the institution is a large, public university or a small, private college, as long as the academic curriculum has a good reputation. I prefer to attend a college in the midwest or eastern regions of the United States.
