Kelby Goldschmeding '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Kelby Goldschmeding. I am 16 years old and a Senior at Schoolcraft High School (Schoolcraft, MI). I play varsity volleyball for Schoolcraft HS. I played on the JV team in 9th grade and have been on the varsity team since 10th grade. I became a starter in my first season on the team as a Sophmore. I was named first-team All-Conference, All-region, and Honorable mention all-state both years on varsity. We play in the SAC conference, in Division 3. Our non-conference schedule includes many of the largest schools in Michigan to prepare for our postseason schedule when we play the best teams in our division. I train in the winter and summer by weight lifting, speed, and agility and by playing travel volleyball. My club team plays in the 18u division and attends many high-level tournaments. 

I am a very good student and take my education very seriously. I haven't 100% decided my major, but it will likely be Physician Assistant or Nursing. While school is very important to me, my friends and family also are very important to me. I am involved in many extracurricular activities like Freshman Academy, Common Bond, Key Club, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Big Brother Big Sister. 

I plan to consider colleges that are a good match for me both academically and athletically. I am a passionate, hard worker in volleyball and I would love to play college volleyball.
