My love for volleyball is insane. Volleyball is my passion, and my love. Being able to pursue this amazing sport in college would be more than a dream come true. I am a competitive, enthusiastic person with a strong desire to compete and to win. I’m also a team player and am dedicated to making everyone on the team feel welcome in a healthy environment. One of my roles as a team player is to encourage my teammates no matter what the score and continue to help further team communication on and off the court. I’m a very flexible, versatile player who is very interested in all divisions of volleyball, and can play six rotations OH, RH but also MB and DS if needed. I also want to contribute to the team the best I can and be developed to my fullest potential. I’m a strong, determined, motivated and fiery leader who builds mental strategies and strong bonds amongst my teammates to win games. I’m 5’10 and can touch 9’7; I am working on touching 10 feet.
Furthermore, outside of volleyball I am interested in studying Forensic Science/Criminal Justice to eventually become an FBI agent and help others. I am a hard worker in school and try my best every day to become the best version of myself. I enjoy learning and I love my AP Psychology class this year.
Outside of school I attend Woodside Bible Church, and I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ. Every summer I serve with my church on a service project for a week in Detroit called Hope Week. We re-model buildings, clean up spaces, serve the community, and care for others. It’s a very humbling experience and shapes my character into caring for others and having empathy for people.
My dream since 7th grade has been to play volleyball in college, and as I continue to work hard academically while developing my character and volleyball skills on and off the court, I would love to see this dream come true and continue to give back to a sport that has given me so much.
